Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere & More Return for Season 5 of “Nashville” on CMT

Nashville fans have had a lot to rejoice about lately. After ABC pulled the plug on the Music City drama with the Season 4 finale on May 25, it was announced in June that CMT—in conjunction with Hulu—was picking up the show for Season 5.

Now fans have more good news: according to TVLine, Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere are slated to return as cast regulars along with co-stars Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella and Chris Carmack.

One of the big question marks regarding the upcoming season was whether Hayden would return in her role as Juliette Barnes. After leaving the drama midway through Season 4 to undergo treatment for postpartum depression, Hayden returned for the final nine episodes, including the season finale cliffhanger where her character’s life was in jeopardy aboard a plane that sent out a distress call.

Stay tuned for more news on the Season 5 premiere of Nashville on CMT.
