Hank Jr, LOCASH, Canaan Smith and Cassadee Pope Receive Gold and Platinum Honors

In addition to all of the great performances over the last week, CMA Music Festival was a chance for record label heads and PR teams to honor their artists for achieving Gold (sales of 500,000) and Platinum (sales of 1 million) milestones. Check out some of the honorees.

Hank Williams Jr. was presented with a gold certification for “Family Tradition” as well as a platinum certification for “A Country Boy Can Survive.” Webster Public Relations president Kirt Webster, Vector Management co-president Ken Levitan and William Morris Endeavor Entertainment co-head Greg Oswald were on hand for the celebration.

Chris Lucas and Preston Brust of LOCASH were presented with a gold certification from Reviver Records label head David Ross for their No. 1 hit “I Love This Life.”

Chris Young presented his duet partner Cassadee Pope with a gold certification for their No. 1 song “Think of You.”

Canaan Smith was presented with a platinum certification by UMG Nashville CEO Mike Dugan for his No. 1 hit “Love You Like That.”
