2016 CMT Music Awards Nominees Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton and Cam Are Leading the Pack

The nominations for the CMT Music Awards are being announced throughout the day (May 9). Thomas Rhett revealed the first group of nominees on the Today show.

Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton and Cam are leading the pack with three nominations each. Additional categories and nominees will be revealed on social media throughout the day from some of country’s favorite stars, including Billy Ray Cyrus and Kellie Pickler.

The night’s top award—Video of the Year—finds Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and Luke Bryan going head to head for the honor.

The CMT Music Awards take place on Wed., June 8, at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
