We all know that as our children go through their teenage years, there can be a lot of hard times to deal with, but what about as our children go through the toddler years? Jennifer Nettles’ son, Magnus, just turned three years old and he’s obviously giving his mom a run for her money.
“He is a ‘threenager’ for sure,” laughs Jennifer. “There are moments where he can go from being completely happy and pleasant to all of a sudden breaking down into a heap on the floor just because the dinosaur fell over. I mean, it’s pretty amazing to watch their little emotional synapses connect.”
While motherhood has it’s challenges, Jennifer also sees the fun side as Magnus grows and his little personality develops. “You know, some people say, ‘Oh, I fell in love from the time I saw them.’ No, I didn’t,” adds Jennifer. “I felt instinctive and protective and completely nurturing, but I didn’t know him. He is his own person and the more I get to know him the more in love with him I absolutely am.”
Magnus’ true personality shines through when he’s not breaking down over a dinosaur crisis. “He is shy, he’s quiet until he really warms up, and I can’t wait to see what he’s going to do in life. And definitely this far, especially with the drama, I can tell he’s passionate, so it’s a lot of fun.”
