Blake Shelton Shares a Bird-Brained “Angry Birds” Song and Video

Blake Shelton is playing a loveable pig in The Angry Birds Movie (go figure!), but that’s not all. He’s also got a loveable song on the film’s soundtrack called “Friends,” and Blake shared a goofy new video for the track over the weekend (April 8).

Filmed in a recording studio and featuring sneak peek appearences by Blake’s feathered pals Red, Chuck, Stella, Bomb and the Mighty Eagle, Blake sings an upbeat, positive tune about friendships that last through thick and thin. The song’s kind-hearted message is perfect for an animated movie based on a video game for kids, and pairs Blake’s carefree vocals with a foot-stomping beat and rolling banjo.

Along with Blake, The Angry Birds Movie also stars Jason Sudeikis, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage, Kate McKinnon, Sean Penn, Hannibal Buress, Danny McBride and more, and hits theaters May 20.
